Go shopping now because...

1. If Don Draper can buy a new shirt for every affair, then you should buy a new dress for every date. It's romantic evolution.
2. What else will you spend your wages on? Starbucks coffee, Pret sandwiches. These will be gone in a second. Fashion , however, lasts forever.
3. After a wardrobe spring-clean you've got oodles of space to fill, where bulky faux-furs once resided. Bare rails = not a good look.
4. Shopping is good for your health. Experts reckon women burn five calories for every minute spent browsing, not to mention the increased heart rate when you spot that perfect pair of palazzo pants.
5. As we know, trends repeat themselves. So buying a pair of 70s flares or a 20s tasseled top is an investment for your future wardrobe. It's pracitcally like getting on the property ladder!
6. Unless we invest in a brand new, bang-on-trend wardrobe, how will we ever end up being spotted on company.co.uk's street-style-blog?
7. Shopping is good for the economy. Fact.
8. Even window-shopping can make you happy. Surges in feel-good dopamine levels have been linked with just the anticipation of shopping. Bonus!
9. David Koma has brought body-con with metal detailing to Topshop.
10. A new outfit could be good for your career. Here's the logic: A Janelle Monae-esque tailored tux + a smart work head + a potential pay rise = more shopping! See, it's evolution.
